Common questions
Your account
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings → Privacy and data → Delete my account and data. You'll be asked to sign in again first. Everything we hold about you is deleted straight away, and encrypted backup copies within 30 days. It can't be undone. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription: cancel that in your iPhone's Settings.
Your data
How do I export my data?
Settings → Privacy and data → Export my data gives you a copy of everything we hold about you. You'll be asked to sign in again first, and you can export once an hour.
Buddy
How do I see or delete what Buddy remembers?
Settings → Buddy → What Buddy knows about me. You can delete any single note, or everything Buddy remembers.
Teams
How do I leave a team or change what my coach sees?
Settings → Team and sharing → Team. You can lower what you share or leave the team at any time, and it takes effect immediately.
Parents
I'm a parent. What does my teen share?
Our page for parents and guardians explains what a coach can see, what you approve and how to change it.
New phone
I'm getting a new phone. Will my data come with me?
Yes. Sign in with the same account on the new phone, or after reinstalling, and your data comes back: your profile and health answers, your plan, your last 90 days of food, meals and water, every weigh-in, your saved meals, your settings and today's conversation with Buddy. Older history stays safely on our servers. If you use Cut Buddy on two devices, they stay in step. You'll need to be online the first time you sign in, and to allow notifications again on the new phone.
Subscriptions
How do subscriptions work?
Subscription details to come before launch.
